Customer Spotlight: Custom Apparel in Action at the University of Maryland
There's nothing better than seeing a finished project come to life, especially when it's being worn by a team making a difference in their community.
At Marked Promo, we recently had the opportunity to create custom t-shirts for the University of Maryland Department of Resident Life's Restorative Practices team. After completing the project, we were excited to receive photos of the shirts in action, along with some wonderful feedback from our customer.
It's projects like these that remind us why we love what we do.
Bringing a Custom Apparel Vision to Life
For this project, the goal was to create a custom t-shirt that represented the Restorative Practices team while incorporating a distinctive, eye-catching design.
The finished white t-shirts feature two different printing techniques:
- Two-color screen printing: A clean, professional design on the left chest, featuring complementary purple and blue tones.
- Full-color DTF transfer: A vibrant, detailed graphic across the back, featuring a nature-inspired design that stands out against the white fabric.
By combining these two decoration methods, we were able to bring different elements of the design together in one cohesive finished product.
The result is a custom shirt that's both visually appealing and practical for the team's activities.
Seeing the Shirts in Action
One of our favorite parts of this project was receiving photos of the UMD team wearing their new shirts while participating in outdoor work.
Rather than simply seeing the shirts on a table or in a product mockup, we got to see them being worn in a real-world setting.
The photos showcase the full-color back design, which incorporates natural imagery into a bold, geometric pattern.
These moments are a great reminder that branded apparel is about more than just putting a logo on a shirt. It's about creating something people can wear while representing their team, organization, or mission.
A Happy Customer Makes It Even Better
Of course, one of the most rewarding parts of any project is knowing that our customer is happy with the result.
We're grateful for the opportunity to work with the UMD team, and we especially appreciate them taking the time to share photos of the finished shirts in use.
